When is why, the answer to who, what, where and when?

I suppose when society becomes so complicated that the average person no longer understands the ramifications of relating to the whole. A free, civilized, society is supposedly developed for the betterment of its constituents. If we as citizens continue to live under the premise of equality promised by our government, then why, must be the answer when it seemingly isn't working.

Amidst these unstable times, i.e.; the threat of terrorism, the volatile changing of our precious stock market, the false financial reports by some of our major corporations, it completely baffles me to try to comprehend how our congress can vote themselves a pay raise. When leaders no longer lead by example, but by rhetoric, it is time to question the framework of such a body. Our forefathers framed our constitution with checks and balances, insuring us that no individual, or group of people, within the bureaucracy could have a personal agenda to exclude the masses for whom our government was set up to represent. This form of governing is suppose to have the majority of voices to be heard as one. However, the lack of accountability by our leaders has demonstrated that this great nation appears to be losing its clarity.

Democracy is a relatively new form of representation for the masses. I suggest to you that if we continue to turn our eyes away for our representatives, for the betterment of our own personal agenda, it just might not prove to be a lasting form. Accountability must be addressed in this nation. There must be a reaction, for an action. In order for our country to stride forward we must have a cohesive bond between government and the private sector.  A mutual respect and trust.

Chief Executive Officers of large companies must be taken to task, not unlike self-motivated politician with their own agendas.  Moreover, when it has been proven that they exploited the vary people, and properties, that were put in their care they must be punished to the fullest extent of the law. After all, we the people, who in the majority and acting as a voice of one, told our representatives to make such laws. We did not want a back office deal to be made, or some high ranking government officials to take it on their own to excuse their action. It is time to execute the laws that we have.

This country, like never before, is being tested to see if democracy does indeed have a voice of one, and not just for a chosen few. It is time that the true leaders, people that wholeheartedly believe in this form of government, step up. If that means sending your friends to prison, so be it. The few should never be worth more than the many in a free land. That is the cry of one voice called democracy.

In Journalism 101 you learn the basic formula of informative writing: who, what, where, when, and why. Answer these questions with honesty and integrity and inform your readers with the best information you can. Divert from this formula with excuses and spin, and there is only one question that can be asked. When is why the answer to who, what, where or when?
